Mr. Jude Kwamena Aboagye, an
Economics teacher at Tanyigbe Senior High School (TASHS) has been murdered in
cold blood by some unidentified assailant in a bizarre circumstance
The deceased, 44-year-old graduate teacher is a native of
Kpando was reported missing on Friday, February 26, 2015 after he told
relatives he was going to a funeral.
After several efforts to trace him, including reports to
the police and adverts in the media, the body was found on Friday, May 1, 2015,
in the Kpando-Aguzie forest by a hunter.
A source said, Jude's body was decapitated with other
organs missing, pointing to a ritual murder.
His tongue was cut out and his genitals were completely severed while
his clothes lay next to him.
The hunter quickly raised an alarm and a report was lodged
with the Kpando police, who moved in to retrieve the body on Sunday, May 3,
2016.
An ID card in the deceased's pair of trousers identified
him. Confirming the incident to the local media, the Kpando Municipal Police
Commander, Superintendent Godfred Tetteh Adjirakor, ruled out any rumours and
assured that a full scale investigation would be launched to get to the root of
the incident.
He added that with the assistance of the well-equipped
homicide unit from the police headquarters, an excellent investigation would be
conducted.
Jude Aboagye, popularly known as Grandfather, is said to
be the only child of his mother.
Meanwhile, the bereaved family has appealed to the police
to ensure that the perpetrators of the dastardly incident are brought to book.
