Bulletin on 25th Anniversary Durbar of Tanyigbe SHS

 

Tanyigbe Senior High School’s 25th Anniversary durbar was held on Saturday, 15th of October 2016 at the E.P. JHS park, Tanyigbe-Kpodzi.

The event started at 10:00 am with the inspection of the guard of honour, marked by the school cadet corps.

Present at the ceremony were the Deputy Minister for Education in charge of Tertiary Education, Hon. Okudjeto Ablakwa, two Deputy GetFUND Administrators; Mr. Ben Dere & Mr. Atsu Dafeamekpor, and Mrs. Diana Adiko, member of the GetFUND Board.

Others were the Regional Director of Ghana Education Service – G.E.S, Ho, who also stood in for the Volta Regional Minister as the Guest of honour, the Ho Municipal Director of G.E.S, Prof. Dennis Dzansi, Lecturer at the Central University of Technology, South Africa.

Prof. Kofi Anyidoho was the guest speaker and Justie Costant Hometowu chaired the ceremony.

The Tanyigbe Old Students Association (TASSOSA) also donated a set of Brass Band to the school.

Tanyigbe Senior High School Launches 25th Anniversary Celebration


Tanyigbe Senior High School in the Ho Municipality of the Volta Region has launched the celebration of its 25th anniversary on Saturday 19th March 2016 at E.P. Church, Dela Cathedral, Ho-Kpodzi.

The theme for the celebration is: "Repositioning Community Senior High Schools for Greater Prospects: The Role of Stakeholders".

Speaking at the launch, the President of E.P. University College (EPUC), Dr. Cyril Fayose, attributed the slow pace of development in various ommunity schools to the misconceptions created by the public about them. He edged the citizens to begin to take ownership of the school else it would be very difficult for them to improve and compete with the "big schools" in the municipality.

On her part, the headmistress of the school, Ms. Peace Abasa-Addo, indicated that it is her vision that government will make the school a model school in the municipality. She lamented about the abandoned projects in the school and edge the government to come to their aid.

The headmistress appealed to government to provide the school with a modern ICT lab and also re-award the school's abandoned dilapidated dining hall and the 12 unit classroom block funded by GETFUND.

Present at the ceremony were the Chiefs and elders of Tanyigbe Traditional council, Deputy  Volta Regional Minister, Hon. Ganyaglo, MP for Ho Central, Hon. Benjamin Kpodo, MCE of Ho Municipality, Hon. Adinyira, Major General Anyidoho (Rtd.), Regional Director of Education, Mr. Boadi Alexander, Assembly man for Tanyigbe Electoral area, Mr. Mawuli Agbortsu, the board chairman of Tanyingbe Senior High School, Mr. Ankudey, the P.T.A. chairman, Rev. Ahorgah John, ICGC Pastor, Rev. Atsabi Ernest and the heads of sister schools.

TASHS Launches 25th Anniversary Celebration on 19th March


Tanyigbe Senior High School (TASHS) in the Ho Municipality of Volta Region will be launching their 25th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday 19th March 2016 at 10:00am at E.P. Church Cathedral, Ho-Kpodzi. 

The theme of the celebration is “Repositioning Community Senior High Schools for Greater Prospects: The Role of Stakeholders” 

It will mark a series of pre-anniversary activities such as Football game, Sing Song competition, Health Walk, Clean Up exercise and fundraising to meet critical infrastructural needs in the school. 

Highlights of the official launch include unveiling of the 25th Anniversary cloth, fundraising, and inter-generational. 

Students and management of Tanyigbe Senior High School, past students of the School, as well as the numerous friends of the School are expected to attend the launch, which will begin the 25th anniversary celebrations. 

However, the celebration of the 25th Anniversary will take place in September, 2016.
