The Ghana Education Service (GES) announces to the general public, particularly, parents, guardians, teachers and pupils/students of Public KG-Primary, JHS and Second Cycle Schools that the re-opening of schools as approved by the Hon. Minister for Education upon the recommendation of the Ministerial Committee on School' Calendar is as follows:
Second Cycles Schools
- SHS 3 - Monday, 7th February 2022
- SHS 2 - Monday, 7th February 2022
- SHS 1 - Monday, 4th April 2022 (Tentative)
Basic Schools
- JHS 1-3 - Tuesday, 18th January 2022
- Primary 1-6 - Tuesday, 18th January 2022
- KG 1-2 - Tuesday, 18th January 2022
The full calendar for the 2022 Academic Year for pre-tertiary public schools will be made available at various media platforms, MoE/GES websites and other social media handles.
